How do I register my teen?
Faith formation registrations are all online this year. Please visit our registration page at: https://registration.sanantoniochurch.org/register/ym/
a. If you have a profile with any of our faith formation programs, you can click on ‘Log In’ and enter your username and password to access your profile.
- If you have a profile but do not remember your password, click on “Lost your password?” and follow the steps.
b. If you do not have a profile with our faith formation programs, click on ‘Create New Profile’ and enter your information at the next page. You will receive an email to activate your account. Use the provided link to activate the account then return to the registration page to log in.
Once you log in, you will be able to verify your profile information. You can then click on ‘Continue to Registration’ and on the next page, select ‘Confirmation Registration’ in the Youth Ministry section.
There are three steps to registration – digital release, minor release and registration and payment. Please make sure to complete all three forms to complete your registration.
How old does my teen need to be in order to register for Confirmation or SALT?
The preparation for Confirmation is a two-year program. Teens can begin during their freshman, sophomore or junior year of high school. This will allow them time to complete the two-year program before graduating high school. Our program meets on Tuesday evenings, approximately every other week. There are also three Sunday meetings (including Mass) with teens and their sponsors, Stations of the Cross during Lent, and a retreat (which is currently scheduled to be a one-day event on campus).
SALT is our leadership program for Confirmed juniors or seniors. You can join SALT as a senior even if you did not participate as a junior. Meetings are on Wednesdays, approximately every other week. SALT teens are also invited to be co-leaders of Confirmation groups and participate in other service events at our parish and in the community.
What paperwork is needed when we register?
C1: Our new, incoming C1 teens will need the following paperwork at the time of registration:
a. Copy of Baptismal certificate
b. Copy of First Eucharist certificate
These can be submitted online on the registration page. There is an option to upload documents on your registration account. Paperwork can also be emailed to our office.
C2: Our returning C2 teens also need a sponsor form, in addition to the above paperwork. Any paperwork submitted last year has been recorded by our office. Please submit any missing paperwork as soon as possible. They can be uploaded to your account on the registration page or emailed to our office.
SALT: Our returning Confirmed teens do not need to submit any additional paperwork. If your teen was Confirmed at another parish, please provide a copy of their Confirmation certificate.
When do Confirmation meetings start?
The program is expected to begin with the meetings/dates below. Please note that all information is still tentative and we will send a finalized schedule in August.
C1 Teen & Parent Meeting – Tuesday, September 14
C1 Meet & Greet for Parents and Adult Leaders – Tuesday, September 28
C1 Meeting – Tuesday, October 12
C2 Parent Meeting and Meet & Greet – Tuesday, September 21
C2 Mass and dinner with small group – Sunday, October 3
C2 Meeting – Tuesday, October 12
We will provide more detailed information on attendance guidelines, service hour requirements, etc. at parent meetings.
Where will Confirmation meetings be held?
C1 and C2 meetings will alternate between large groups in the parish hall and small groups in classrooms. A detailed schedule will be available in August and sent to our registered families via email.
Will there be a retreat?
For Confirmation 1, we will host a day retreat in the fall/winter to be held on-campus.
For Confirmation 2, we are tentatively planning a weekend retreat in spring 2022.
For SALT, we are planning for a day retreat in the fall/winter to be held on-campus.
Details, including dates and times, are being finalized and will be sent to our families as soon as they are available.
